How can I remove sound effects from a video but keep dialogue and music?
Separate the soundtrack with Sound effects off and Dialogue and Music on. Preview the mix, use Solo to check either track, then download the sounds you want to keep.
What sounds are included in the Sound effects track?
The track includes scene sounds such as footsteps, impacts, machinery, weather, room sounds and background ambience. Use Solo to hear what has been separated from the dialogue and score before choosing your mix.
Can I remove one sound, such as a door slam, beep or explosion?
You can choose a section around the unwanted sound, then mute Sound effects for that section. The switch controls the full effects track, so other scene sounds within the selected section are muted too.
Can I fix unwanted effects in an AI-generated video?
Yes. Separate the soundtrack from a MiniMax, LTX-2.5, Seedance or other AI-generated video, then mute Sound effects while keeping dialogue and music. Download the mix and add your preferred Foley or ambience in your editor.
Can I download just the sound effects from a video?
Yes. Use Solo on Sound effects, or keep that track on and mute Dialogue and Music. Save it as WAV, MP3 or M4A, or download all three WAV tracks together for further editing.
Can I keep only dialogue, or only background music?
Yes. All three tracks remain available after separation. Use Solo on Dialogue for spoken voices or Music for the score, and switch combinations without processing again. For singing and instrumental backing, use Vocal Separator. Separate vocals in music.
Is removing sound effects the same as reducing background noise?
Effects separation gives scene sounds their own track so you can keep dialogue and music while muting effects or ambience. Noise reduction focuses on clearer speech. For fan noise, hiss or microphone noise in a voice recording, try Noise Remover. Reduce noise in speech.
Why do some effects remain, or parts of the music change?
Sounds such as impacts and drum hits can share similar characteristics, so some details may appear in more than one track. Use Solo to hear Dialogue and Music separately, then preview them together to choose what works for your edit.
How can I clean up background sounds left on the Dialogue track?
