Is my prompt or audio uploaded anywhere?
No. The model runs in your browser, and the prompt and generated sound stay on your device. Your browser only downloads the model files needed to run the tool.
What AI model does this sound effects generator use?
It uses Stability AI's Stable Audio 3 Small SFX, a text-to-audio model specialized for generating sound effects. Fuzz Puppy runs a browser-optimized version locally on your device.
Why does the first generation take longer?
The first run downloads about 772 MB of model files. The browser caches them when storage allows, so later generations can start without downloading them again.
What kind of audio will I get?
Every generation is an eight-second, 44.1 kHz stereo WAV. You can preview it, generate another variation, or download it directly.
Which browsers and devices are supported?
Use a current desktop version of Chrome or Edge. Mobile browsers are not supported because the local model needs more memory and storage than most phones can reliably provide.
Are generations free and unlimited?
Yes. Fuzz Puppy does not require an account, charge credits, or meter generations. The practical limit is how much memory and storage your device has available.
