GIF Studio

Create a GIF from a video or still images, or edit an existing GIF. You can trim, crop, resize, add a caption, reverse playback, and change speed. Preview the result, then export as GIF, MP4, WebM, or APNG. You can also save individual frames as PNG images.

GIF Studio is free to use in your browser. You do not need an account or a software installation, and exports have no added watermark.

Open a video or select several PNG, JPEG, or WebP images. For a video, trim the section you want to keep. For images, arrange the frames and set how long each one appears. Choose GIF as the export format, preview your animation, then export and download it.

Use a shorter clip, reduce the output dimensions, or lower the export frame rate. Smaller dimensions reduce detail, while fewer frames can make motion less smooth. If you do not need the GIF format, MP4 or WebM will often produce a smaller file.

GIF supports fully transparent pixels, but not partially transparent edges. Use APNG or WebM when you need smooth transparency, and check that your destination supports the format. MP4 exports fill transparent areas with black.

Editing animations requires memory for decoded frames. Large or long videos may ask you to choose a shorter section, smaller working size, or lower frame rate before import. The amount you can process also depends on your device and browser.

WebM

Video with transparency for players and browsers that support it. Enable looping in your player.

GIF

Widely compatible and loops automatically; usually larger files.

MP4

Widely supported video. Transparent areas become black; looping is a player setting.

APNG

Full color with smooth transparency; often a larger file.

Your media is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded for editing. Work is not saved as an online project. Download your exports before refreshing or closing the tab.
