How do I extract audio from a video?
Choose a video, select MP3, WAV or M4A, and click Extract audio. Optionally trim the audio, add fades or change speed and volume. Listen to the result, then download it.
Is this video to audio converter free and private?
Yes. There is no signup or payment. Your video and extracted audio stay on your device; processing runs locally in your browser.
Can I convert MP4 to MP3 on my phone?
Yes, if your mobile browser supports decoding the audio in your video. Choose an MP4 and export as MP3. Use Download audio, or Share audio when your browser supports file sharing. Keep the tab open while processing.
Should I choose MP3, WAV or M4A?
MP3 is widely compatible. M4A offers compact AAC audio and preserves the original compressed audio when an AAC track is extracted without edits. WAV stores uncompressed audio and creates larger files; it cannot restore quality missing from the source.
What videos are supported?
Choose MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV or M4V files up to 600 MB. The tool checks the actual file and its audio tracks. Codec support depends on your browser. Videos without an audio track cannot produce audio. Large exports may need a shorter selection to fit browser memory.
Can I trim, reverse, fade or change the speed of audio?
Yes. Preview your video, drag the left and right trim handles, then choose 0.5× to 2× speed, and open Fades, volume & quality for more options. Speed changes also change pitch. Turn on Reverse audio to play the selected sound backwards. Fades are applied after reversal and measured in output seconds.
